Frewsburg CSD 2021 Capital Outlay

A deposit of $25.00 per set shall be required and shall be made out to Frewsburg CSD.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Frewsburg Central School District, Chautauqua County, NY, herein called the Owner, on Tuesday November 30th, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Room of the Frewsburg Middle/High School, at 26 Institute Street, Frewsburg NY will receive sealed proposals for the District’s 2021 Capital Outlay Project. Masks are REQUIRED inside the building at all times.

The proposals will be, at that date, time, and place, publicly opened and read aloud. All work shall be done in accordance with drawings and specifications prepared by Young + Wright Architectural, 50 Elk Street Buffalo, NY 14210. All bidders shall be expected to keep bid prices firm for 45 days from date of bid opening, during which time the Owner will be able to make awards therein.

Plans and specifications are available to prime contractors on Thursday November 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. by contacting The Copy Store at (716) 847-6400 or visiting their online plan room at www.buffalocopy.com. A pre-bid conference will be held to discuss the scope of the 2021 Capital Outlay Project at Frewsburg Middle/High School, 26 Institute Street, Frewsburg, NY 14738 to tour the site, and answer bidder questions on Thursday November 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. The meeting shall start at and end at the Frewsburg Middle/High School Main Entrance. Masks are REQUIRED inside the building at all times.

The deposit will be refunded to all Prime Contractor Bidders returning the drawings and specifications in good, unmarked condition within thirty (30) working days after the bid opening. Prime contractors who are non-bidders returning complete sets in good, unmarked condition with the above time limit will be refunded also. No part of the deposit will be refunded for partial and/or damaged sets of the drawings and specifications.

The proposals will be made as specified by the architect in the Information for Bidders and will include a certified check or a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the Base Bid. The Bid Bond will state that the Bidder will enter into the Contract if awarded by the Owner and execute further security for the faithful performance of the Contract as required by the Owner.

Bidders will note the required conditions of employment and the minimum New York State Labor Department prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to advertise anew, and to award a contract for the whole or such portion of the work as it determines to be in the best interest of the District.
